The Karnataka authorities has issued a statewide ban on using synthetic colours in hen kebabs and fish dishes following high quality inspections. The choice follows latest checks on random samples, which revealed that synthetic colours have been chargeable for compromising the general high quality of those meals objects.

Based on Karnataka Well being Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, the ban was carried out with public well being concerns in thoughts. He directed the Commissioner of the Meals Security Division to research and tackle the dangerous impacts of synthetic colours in meals.

Beforehand, the state’s meals security and high quality division collected and analyzed 39 samples of kebabs from laboratories throughout the state. The samples have been deemed unsafe below the Meals Security and Requirements Act, 2006. Based on the Meals Security and Requirements (Meals Merchandise Requirements and Meals Components) Rules, 2011, using synthetic colours is strictly prohibited.
