CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After serving the north Charlotte neighborhood for practically 40 years, Floyd’s Restaurant introduced it’s completely closing.

The restaurant, identified for its traditional soul meals choices, was opened on Tuckaseegee Street in 1986 by founder Otis Floyd. He died in 2014.

Proprietor Tyrone Floyd didn’t say why the restaurant, now situated on North Graham Avenue, was closing.

The restaurant will stay open Tuesday via Saturday from 11 a.m. to six p.m… till it is final day on June 29.
