Chicago-native Tomi Adeyemi dishes on newest book, movie deal

Award-winning creator and Chicago-native Tomi Adeyemi talks about her latest guide and an thrilling new film deal.

CHICAGO (WLS) — A New York Instances Finest-Promoting creator is making Chicago Proud.

Nigerian American author Tomi Adeyemi is understood for her groundbreaking novels, Kids of Blood and Bone and Kids of Advantage and Vengeance. The Hugo and Nebula award-winning novelist grew up in Chicago and graduated from Harvard College with an honors diploma in English Literature. After commencement, she studied West African mythology in Salvador, Brazil, which impressed her debut sequence.

On June 25, Adeyemi launched the third and last guide in her Orisha trilogy, Kids of Anguish and Anarchy. On her book tour, she returned home to the Chicago area, and sat down with ABC7 to speak concerning the epic finale, and the film deal to carry her books from paper to display.
