Bareilly: A restaurant proprietor was detained by police for allegedly promoting beef burgers following a protest in Mughalpura space of Moradabad district on Wednesday.The protest was triggered by objections to the menu at Afghan Café that includes “beef burgers”. The proprietor was booked below part 505 (2) of IPC and subsequently detained. Bajrang Dal’s Abhinav Bhatnagar mentioned, “Regardless of understanding that slaughtering or transporting cow meat is banned in UP, the restaurant was promoting beef burgers. This appears to be a deliberate try to impress us and harm our spiritual sentiments. We won’t tolerate such practices.”ASP Akhilesh Bhadauria mentioned, “An FIR was registered towards the restaurant proprietor.
